I came across (and nearly stepped on) this praying mantis on the sidewalk outside the apartment. It hung around long enough to run inside and come back to take some pictures. Actually, I think the poor guy might have been injured, because he kept trying to fly and just flopping around. He didn't seem to be too happy to be getting attention, so when he started getting aggressive, I decided I'd taken enough pics.
